A portrait of a cat.

Today there was a request put in for mom to make a Fall Craft.
***
Foo Foo told Joey, but wouldn't tell mom, this special secret (AKA the "Fall Craft"). He wanted Joey's mom, (Diane) to make a portrait of Foo Foo as the "Fall Craft". He wants all of his cousins, and Grandma and Papa specifically, to see what he looked like before he "lost" his nose. So stay tuned for future posts of this "Fall Craft" portrait. Also note we will be holding a photo shoot for Foo Foo and for his cousins in the playroom. On the blue couch, when Uncle Dan is done sleeping on it, and Dax isn't home to mess it up.

Where is Foo Foo?

Lately we haven't seen much of our beloved Foo Foo. He spends his days and most nights on the bed with the rest of the broad. Maybe starting school has taken its toll on Joey and his relationship? Maybe not. I guess we'll see!

A tail of a clip.

I discovered Daddy Kitty had been clipped. Clipped as in he had a chip clip snapped on to his tail. I quickly saved Daddy Kitty, and turned to Joey and asked "who could have done such a thing?" Joey lowered his head. Daddy kitty wasn't being very nice to Joey that day, so he clipped his tail to vent his anger of not being treated nicely. I discussed with Joey that it isn't OK to hurt kitties, or people, even if they had been mean to us. Joey later apologized to Daddy Kitty.

A tragedy happens on vacation.

During our summer vacations to South Dakota, Utah, and back. Foo Foo encountered a horrible unexplainable accident. She lost her nose. Joey's mom found a pink nose shaped item in the carpet at his grandma's house. And she thought Joey might be looking for it later. A few Days past and no sign of Foo Foo. That night as his mother lay next to him, She thought she saw Foo Foo! "NO!!" shouted Joey. "Why not Joey?" and then I saw the horror in Joey's eyes as I saw the missing nose. Joey quickly covered it up and put her back into a cubby. Away from others eyes. The other kitties had been teasing Foo Foo, and Joey was hiding her. I told Joey of the nose I found and he got so excited, but it was short lived for it did not stay on Foo Foo. She was beyond repair.
A few nights later Joey had Foo Foo at the bottom of his bed. He didn't want the other kitties to tease him any more. So I had to sit down all of the kitties, and Joey too. I talked about kindness, and family. Unconditional love and not judging others because of their appearances or differences. I think the whole kitty entourage and their owner got the lesson.

Foo Foo finds friends and family.

Foo Foo wasn't alone for long. Next Joey added "Gray Kitty" and "Stripped Kitty" to the crew. He also prided on naming them himself. Oddly enough when Joey's mom was pregnant, Foo Foo also suddenly had a Mom (Mommy Kitty of course)with child. Mommy kitty had given birth to the beloved, Foo Fooey and Joe Foo. Somewhere along the road Joey had acquired a McDonald's Happy Meal toy, and quickly adopted "Baby Kitty". After our move to Ohio, we had to move the family of kitties too. Then sometime during Joey's mom's pregnancy with Lola last year, his family grew to a Grandma and Grandpa Kitty addition. Foo Foo and Foo Fooey, have clearly been the favorites, or maybe the others are too busy cleaning their rooms, or traveling across the country with Joey.

By this time Foo Foo had had a few time outs (see mircimoments archives). And had the occasional spanking.

Dax had started a family of his own. Joey had given him one of his "strays". Such a generous one that Joey is. Dax was so excited to have one of his own. He quickly named it "meow, meow" despite their mothers concerns that the names might have been too silly for a 5 year old and his little brother. He also had his family start to multiply "meow, meows" and "mommy kitty".

In the begining

In the beginning there was Foo Foo and Brown kitty. They were loved very, very much by their new owner Joey Mirci. They had been given to him as a gift from his mother and father. And cleverly named by Joey himself. Foo Foo and Brown kitty slept with Joey, snuggled with Joey, and even would watch T.V. with Joey. In fact they actually started to do everything with Joey. We had to restrict them from the kitchen table, the bathroom, and from going outside. Often we would find Brown kitty had lost his tail. Or maybe, had his tail ripped off. (Thanks to Joey's daddy) Joey's mom would sew it back on. Sew the head back on, and even started to have to put back his "kitty poop"into his stuffing and sew back the tail again. After months of getting dragged around everywhere and sucked on by a silly 2 year old boy, Brown kitty saw the washing machine a few to many times. Time went by and still we would find "kitty Popsicle's" in the freezer (Joey's daddy enjoyed these times). Eventually it all caught up with the poor kitty. His hair was so matted and melted from the heat of the dryers. And a detached tail more than Eeyore experienced. Brown kitty had been put to rest. And so we were left with the subject of this blog.....Foo Foo. Foo Foo Kitty that is.
